TRS Medical Plans

Cleveland ISD offers all TRS required medical plans. Depending on the coverage you choose, these benefits will help pay toward or completely cover annual physicals, doctor visits, hospitalization, and emergency room visits. Please review the summary of benefits in detail to determine which plan is right for you. You can find those in the 2022-2023 Benefits Guide Booklet.

Things to look for:

1.) Out of Network Coverage - This means that if you needed to see a specialist, you would have to get a referral from your primary care doctor. Also, if you want to see a doctor that is “out of network”, there would be no coverage provided by the carrier.

2.) Review Copay Amounts - If there is a dollar amount, then that type of provider would have a copay. If there is a percentage, or if it says “after deductible” then you would have to meet your deductible first before paying a copay or the specified percentage.
