Welcome to Third Grade! I hope you are all looking forward to the new year here at Northside Elementary. After a restful summer break I am excited to begin another year, sharing in the excitement of learning. I hope that through the course of the year we will be able to work together to ensure the success of your student. As we begin this year, I would like to tell you a bit about myself. My name is Heather Wise. I am 30 years old and a resident of Kingwood. I am a 2003 graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University where I graduated with my teaching certificate. I began my career teaching 4th grade in Apple Springs, Texas, where I spent two years. I then moved here to Northside to teach 3rd grade. This will be my sixth year in the district. I am an avid reader, and it is my goal to share my love of reading with every student that enters into my classroom. Outside of school I enjoy spending time outdoors with my friends and family. To help start the year off smoothly, I will be sending home a Parent Packet to help you and your child become familiar with my expectations, as well as those of Northside Elementary. Please take some time to review and discuss this information together. If you have any questions about my policies or expectations, please feel free to contact me at 281-592-4628. E-mail is also a great way to contact me. You may schedule an appointment with me on my conference period. You are welcome to stop by our classroom anytime you would like to observe, but please make an appointment if you would like to discuss your child’s progress. I want to make sure that I have the adequate time set aside to be able to meet with you. I feel extremely blessed that I am able to be an influencing role model in your child’s life.
